Judge [last name removed] needs to be removed from the bench. My wife and I are actively trying to get a group of committed people who are tired of Judges having to much power to join together to start having them removed from office. The group that we have formed is call "Judicial Exposure". If anyone is interested in joining us in our fight against corrupt judges email us at JudicialExposure@aol.com As for Judge  [last name removed] I am in the process of filing a complaint with the Judicial Review Board in Raliegh. How does Jane V. [last name removed] live with herself? I was in her courtroom recently and had a wonderful day. My ex was taking me to court for child support / custody. In my opinion it was more for her husband to support his drinking habits, but that is my opinion. I asked her once to buy our child a pack of pullups to take to school and she said she couldn't afford it because she was going on a cruise. I have provided for my son since the day he was born. His childcare has been my mother and I have paid his school fees. We get in the courtroom and my ex of course is first on the stand. She can't answer most of the questions that her own attorney is asking but you can see that the judge took and IMMEDIATE liking to her for some reason. There was a police and DSS report made against her in 99 from where she beat him with a brush and left hand print marks on his arm. Her husband was arrested for a felony charge of shooting into and occupied dwelling which he explained it as some people his brother was arguing with earlier came by and saw him shooting at some bats and called 911 on him and accused him of shooting at them. Good story. He was arrested and convicted on marijuana charges. He was arrested and convicted on a DUI charge at which time he was arrested for resisting arrest but that charge was dropped. He told the judge that he no longer carries any firearms nor does he drink since the DUI charge. Oh, he is divorced because he had a drinking problem with his previous wife. I, on the other hand, have no charges against me, am a Paramedic, teach at the Sheriff’s office, am on a WMD and medical response team for FEMA, and am a volunteer firefighter just to mention a few things about me. Since we separated I went to stay with my mother. She has several health issues and I thought I would be able to help her out, after all she does watch our child for us. My mother had to move out of the house she was living in so I found a place for us to stay now. Well, Jane now wants to take all of that away from me. Not only do I have a $700 / month house payment and other bills but now she wants me to pay $600 / month for the attorney and unknown amount of child support that will probably be $250 – 300 / month. That is because she is taking in to consideration that with what I do with FEMA I was deployed a couple of times this year both with the WMD and to Katrina flood victims with the medical side. How can she apply that money in the equation? That money only comes in if we are deployed, it isn’t guaranteed, nor is the money from the Sheriff’s office. I though child support was based on you guaranteed income. She found that my ex and her current husband are more fit to have my child, even if there has been some suspicious bruises and marks on him lately but she doesn’t believe that there is any abuse in the house now because my ex felt bad for what she did the FIRST time. Oh, and the fact that I’m a Paramedic is sometimes helpful. But she says I argue with others because of my knowledge but she doesn’t think it is towards Matthew’s advantage. What does she know? I hate to think that if she saw someone doing something wrong and she knew it was wrong that she wouldn’t speak up. I love my son and I don’t want to see any harm done to him. It is terrible that the court can take a child out of a home where he is loved and cared for by everyone and put him where he is abused and around violence. Where is the justice in that!?!?! The bad thing is, I showed that he was around all of this but the other party denied it and Jane thought she is God and she knows they are right. Is there anything I can do? You know, she said about Ric Flair that he should give back to the community. I devote my life to giving to others any way I can and still providing for my family and this is what I get in return. Oh, and one more thing. We have a constitutional right to carry a firearm to protect ourselves but in the court order she said that there it to be no firearms in the house or car where Matthew is. I use to be a police officer in the area and know the possibility of someone wanting to retaliate against me. What if my mother and child are with me? Am I not supposed to protect us? How can she do that? Sorry I know this is long and probably some of it isn’t clear but I just go the court order and am a little upset about it right now. I need help. Laurie, I was recently told that she was retiring within the year. I'm sorry about your case. Unfortunitely, she isn't much for ProSe, it seems. Unless you are well educated of the statutes and present yourself well in the court room. Though, sometimes that's not enough. She is a difficult woman to deal with at times. Though surprisingly my recent encounter with her was a good one, for the first time, she seemed in a good mood. Maybe the time is coming sooner than expected? Who knows. If anyone would like to correspond with me I went through (am going through) a horrible case right now with Jane [last name removed] at the center. I promise your mouth will drop. This is yet unresolved and there has yet to be a court order entered into record for a trial which was botched up back in April 2005 (it is currently October) The lawyers dont know what to do. I have had Judge [last name removed] for nearly 4 yrs now. I went from the loss of custody, due to lack of evidence to now having Sole Custody and quite possibly, next month, I will have taken all rights away from my daughters father. I have only had an attorney once for a period of 4 months during my case and that was to establish ongoing support.  I acquired the evidence I needed to gain Sole custody and prepared/filed my motions alone. The father has been in rehab twice and now has two domestic assault criminal cases on his record, the recent will result in jail time. I have talked to number of attorneys to ask their opinion of Judge [last name removed], everyone will say she's by the book and nothing more or less. Personally, even though I lost my child in the beginning, I believe that Judge [last name removed] has done just that, gone by the book. Yes, there are times when she has pushed a case through because her court room has been filed with cases and attorney's, but if you know this judge then you should be prepared for that to happen when you walk into her courtroom. There are many things I disagree with and I believe that she has done wrong, but from my research and experience with Family Law she has made her rulings by the book, based on the evidence that has been brought before her. You must be stern when speaking to her and sure of your words, or she will not pay attention to you, like any person. Four years ago I would have agreed with you about Judge [last name removed] being unfair and out of order, but as of right now she has done what is required to protect my child from her father. My wife and I have had several dealings with Judge Jane [last name removed] and she has been very irresponsible in her actions. We have video and photos of my stepson’s biological father drinking and then getting into the car with my stepson and driving. Judge [last name removed] dismissed this evidence. This individual never pays daycare, or other childcare expenses. He was supposed to carry health insurance, which put us all at risk and she dismissed that as well. In addition to dismissing legal and properly prepared evidence Judge [last name removed] also choose to not allow certain witnesses testimony, because she did not have time, but she allowed the father to state what his witnesses would have said if they were allowed to testify and excepted that as factual testimony. In addition she did not allow my wife to cross-examine those individuals due to her time constraints. There were several other ethical/legal issues that arose from this case as well. If there is anyone else out there that has had similar incidents with Judge Jane [last name removed] please let me know. My intentions are to remove her from office as well as to insure that she does not have the ability to endanger children in the future. Do all you can to get rid of her. She doesn't listen, she's sneaky and she doesn't judge by the law. She really needs to be put out to pasture. She makes judgments on partial stories. I have never seen her look good. She has to be on meds, lol. Run like wild fire from her. She is wacked out I would rather have a three year old hearing my case. I am glad someone else has seen her in action. She signed the court orders, but in an comtempt hearing she made the comment that she should have not left the statement in the order. My ex is supposed to keep me informed of all matters including school reports... Judge [last name removed] looked at me and said I am an adult find the information on your own.. As a result I am battling the Mecklenburg schools for information on my children. The schools stance is that the parent that has custody is the only parent to get reports. My ex is not behind our children in school and I have had to several times talk with teachers to find out that my kids were failing to turn in homework for four months and getting d's and f's in one class. My ex refuses to go by the court orders and I am afraid that if take her back again for comtempt that Judge [last name removed] will not enforce the court order she signed. My ex is also supposed to notify me 24 hours in advance of when and where the children are going out of town.. that never happens.. I know nothing of what is happening in our childrens lives except by phone calls and seeing them every two weeks. Joint Custody in Judge [last name removed] mind is that the parent with the custody has all the rights... the other parent be dammed.   (Last changed: February 26, 2006)

Wow, those comments about Judge [last name removed] could have been written by me. Maybe the custody orders are simply copied by her clerk and handed out like a form letter. My son was ordered to live with his father after my daughter and I actually walked out on one of the custody hearings. My daughter was 19 at the time. When Judge Horrible asked me what I wanted to do, I told her to send me to jail where I knew at least the Charlotte Observer would listen to me. She refused and had the baliff hand cuff me in the hall way infront of my children and bring me back into the court room where she basically removed my 11 year old from my care and gave him to a person with a drug history, and a history of white collar crime. My child is now 15, and the school system and my ex refuse to follow the orders. Judge [last name removed] never even spoke to any of my three children to hear the truth. It is quite clear to me now that the truth was never important to her, nor was the well-being of my children. What was important to her was her re-election and the support of the firm whom my ex had retained. [name of Law Firm removed]. I have since learned that this large and powerful firm donates money to campaign funds! Interesting!!!!! It would appear that the Mecklenburg system is still all about money. How sad, when children's lives are being ruined. My daughter has not spoken to her father in over 3 years since that court day. She is getting married in Charlotte in March 2005 and her father's entire family is not invited. She is having a teacher walk her down the isle. Judge [last name removed] needs to understand how her decisions permanently effect the lives of those who cannot decide for themselves. She needs to be removed from the bench and I am eager to be a part of that process.

Dear Mr. [last name removed], I have been trying for years to have Judge [last name removed] removed from the bench. I even tried to go through The Observer with a story. I filed a formal grievance against the custody evaluator that she assigned to my case and still got nowhere. My story is unbelieveable. She removed my 10 year old from my care in 2001 and gave him to my ex-husband a dentist who spent 5 months in drug rehab and was basically a white collar criminal who owned the IRS 750,000 dollars. My past attorney told me recently that she was stepping down. Is this true. If not I would love to be a part of some type of action against her. She is basically solely responsible for ruining my life and the lives of my children. I get upset every time I read the custody order and the evaluation which are filled with blatant lies. My ex has a rap sheet a mile long, I had a traffic ticket, but because my ex had family money and an attorney who contributed to Judge [last name removed]'s campaigns, I lost my youngest child to a very dysfunctional man. Dear Marc, My e-mail address is verandafarm@hotmail.com   I now live in Southern Pines, NC because my ex will not abide by the custody order and Judge [last name removed] will not do anything about it. I actually started having chest pain over the frustration that I felt about her lack of professionalism, and what appeared to be a love of power over others lives. My doctor advised me to move away from the situation, but it has been very difficult for me being denied access to my child. It took me 3 lawyers to be able to go before her because they all said the same thing.....how in the hell did you get that judge!! If you're a man you automatically lose and the lawyers don't like to lose a case. At least they/d like a shot at winning a case and she does not give that. My ex has ruined our daughter and even though she was found manic depressive and needed drugs and mental help, and I wasn't found to be any problem, she was awarded custody. Everything she gave me in the court order was totally unfair and in favor of the mentally retarded woman. She is an idiot and like others said has already made up her mind before you get in before her. I wish there was a way to get her out of there before she screws up some else's life. Does anyone know how to get rid of a judge or are they appointed or voted on?? (oh the ruining of my daughter, pregnant, has a baby, 18, not finished school, the mom never saved on dime of the support for her daughter, and is keeping the baby and not telling the father he has one nor seeking support...but wants me to continue paying, and knowing Judge Harper, she will think it is ok and I should!
