I'll step in if I may. My youngest child is 27, with two older siblings. Does it get better? Who knows, because it hasn't for me. Children aren't born with a gene that makes them hate a parent. That kind of hatred is taught, and it becomes a pervasive mental illness that carries on to subsequent generations. My grand children were born into it. I don't believe that there is a magical light that's going to come on inside the minds of my children that will make them see some truths. My children, all adults, are so emmeshed with their mother that they will never have minds or lives of their own. She can't allow it, because their total support is essential to her cause, and she will carry this fight to her grave. I wish I knew how to "let it go", but I wasn't born with a gene that allows me to erase my children from my memory and my life.

So how do your children treat you, the alienated parent, now 20 years later? I'm hoping you can give us some hope with your outcome.

I have been through the same.. I have lived through the lies and deceit and now the fact that the lies have been perversely bred into the
child's mind. I say go forth as the true tides are changing in the justice system. The alienating parent will soon be the loser in their game of
destroying children. Courts are beginning to recognize PAS slowly and the movement is growing to stop people like my ex wife and yours......I lived through 20 plus years of never seeing a child......trust me the truth will prevail in the end.....the corruption within the system is being exposed and the damage it does will be stopped.......have faith!!!!!

take it from someone who paid to fight...and lost...because the family court system does not recognize pas yet... i would have rather spent the money on legislation to bring pas to law...so others will not suffer the way i have...i am a loving mother who lost her daughters once i filed for divorce. my husband was a narcissitic who mentally and verbally abused me for most of the marriage and now he has my children (ages now 13 and 21) i fought in court, and finally gave up ....i have to move on ....but the wounds are too deep. Can you get on with your life and be allowed calls? If the kid's are happy and you are allowed to communicate, do it! you can't fight your whole life for
selfish reasons and you are entitled to a life. Have it. (Last changed: February 26, 2006)
