after reading your articles i am discouraged. When a child has been abducted and truly believes all that they have been told about the other parent, how hopeless it seems that they will adjust when returned to their home. Does age make a difference? Is the child better off staying with the abductor? How can a parent help the child recover? Is foster care a better answer? Should the child continue to see the abductor under supervision? It is all so complex.

Believe it or not there are "hospitals" that deal solely with this
phenonmen. Search the web, read all you can. The answers are found in the multitude of articles that are published on the web. My daughter was brainwashed against me to the point where she feared being alone with me. Through the help of a wonderful therapist my daughter now feels secure with me. Although she has not been allowed by her father to say she loves me or kiss me or show me any affection, through therapy she now hugs me - kisses and saying I love you will take more time. She has only been in therapy 1 1/2 years. Keep the faith and don't ever give up on your children.
END OF THIS TOPIC.
