the family court system does not help,, however you can walk away like i did and know that you fought for your kids. I truly believe that this is happening to us for a reason. God has chosen this path for some reason.. usually it is the powerful ex that has the kids and the good parent loses.... makes us stronger because we were weak to begin with, most of us were abused verbally , physcially  (Last changed: February 26, 2006)

It is NOT God. It is a good lawyer!! The system is not fair and won't be. Do your best and feel good about it. In the end, it should be what is best for the kids.

Really, who needs godparents these days? Why aren't we all assigned personal attorneys at birth instead? I'm from Ca as well. I lost my son. He graduates from college this weekend. I was not invited. His father's family will all be there. His father stalked me and drove us out of our home when he was young. However, this was not a crime back then. I have had PTSD for 23 years. Never married to the father. Never could "prove" what was done to us because nobody ever took the report. I don't even know my son. He thinks I am "crazy" for telling the truth. His father took him at age 12. I could not see him without his father present, as he made this kid believe I would "kidnap" him. Get a lawyer. It's too late for me. A lawyer won't touch this as it was so long ago. All the "helpful" resources culminate in the words.. "I'm sorry this happened to you. There is nothing we can do to help you" Get a lawyer. Don't think "time" will take care of this. That your child will one day "wake up and know the truth". It's not going to happen. Time will work against you and you will be left either feeling murderous or suicidal. The justice system in this country sucks. It runs on money. The "truth" is inconsequential. Whoever has the most money wins. That's why everyone loves money so much in this country. Because it buys justice.
